cornrows on "white-girl" hair?
Q. Next month, I'm going to a HOT country where I basically won't be able to wash my hair for 3 months. I have extremely thick hair. Due to the heat AND the fact I won't really be able to wash it, I'm considering getting my hair braided into cornrows and leaving it for 3 months. Does anyone know how this will affect my hair in the long-run? (Severe breakage... hair falling out... braids staying in... etc.)

Q. I want to start a business and run a Beauty Supply Store in Ontario but I want to know if I have to be Goverment Certified or Licensed in Hair to actually run the business?

A. No. If you are selling to the " hair and beauty trade " who are in turn using the products in their shop, or selling them to their customers, you don't "need to be a hair stylist " or " barber ". yourself. That would be like requiring a person who sells auto parts to be a auto mechanic...Not required. What you will "need " is to have good contacts in the wholesale supplier end of the business. You need to be able to buy your inventory at lower prices than the shop owners can get it for. Otherwise why should they buy from you ? Here is a tip...Offer delivery to the shops. Why ? People are lazy and if they know that your driver will deliver the order, next day, to the shop, they won't bother going to a… [cont.]

If Pantene is so "bad" for your hair, why is it constantly winning awards in beauty magazines?
Q. I was just wondering this. A lot of people say that it put a coat of wax on your hair and that its really bad for it but im always seeing rave reviews about it. im confused.
Asked by - Sun Dec 4 20:51:31 2011 - Hair - 4 Answers - Comments

A. Because Pantene is owned by Procter & Gamble, a huge company with billions of dollars. When you have billions of dollars, you can pretty much buy any award you want (or at least bribe beauty editors to "vote" for you or write good things about you). By the way, I spent 2 years as a Beauty Editor for a major publication, and I can assure you all of those "awards" are fixed.

Can I give my infant a mohawk without any health or "hair growing back" concerns?
Q. thought it would be cute. . . .but not if it is a bad idea. . ..
Asked by Phatte' - Wed Jan 30 18:58:00 2008 - Newborn & Baby - 18 Answers - Comments

A. If he is an infant, then there should not be any "hair growing back" issues. His hair as an infant will not be the hair he will have permanently. Children begin to receive their "real" hair after about 4 years old. Good luck!

My town is having a "horse beauty contest" and wish to color"Trooper's&quot ;mane~which brand hair coloring is safe?
Q. Maybe "Nice-n-Easy" brand hair coloring? I wish to make some highlights in his hair [so natural looking the judges won't know the difference!], plus put some natural pinkish tint on his lips. I shall trim his mane and make a groovy design in his hair and he'll go through a deep conditioning process to help make his man even more beautiful and a tad bit more silky.

Are the hair extensions at Sally Beauty Supply really "100% real human hair"?
Q. So I have bought the most expensive hair extensions Sally Beauty Supply has to offer-they were labeled as "real human hair" but when I would wash them and dry they would get really unnaturally tangled and didn't match the texture of my hair. Is it possible that the hair extensions were made from other materials? thanks
Asked by sbqueen123 - Tue Jun 1 14:04:01 2010 - Hair - 2 Answers - Comments

A. no it is real hair, you just have to treat them different to your own hair and wash them with special shampoo and conditioner for extensions. Dont wash them too much either because they damage easier than your real hair. Remember your real hair grows and these do not! xx
