A. what "useless qualifications" are you referring to? are you speaking of classes or personal hygiene? if your hygiene becomes a nuisance or a cause for concern then it is understandable that it would be brought to your attention.

Can cornrows be done with 2 and a half inches of natural african-american hair?
Q. I cut my hair around 2 and a half months ago because I was going natural. I now have an afro that is around 2 and a half inches and I wanted to get cornrows with extensions at the end. I wanted a new hairdo and since my afro doesn't allow for much styling options now I wanted to get cornrows. Does anyone know if 2 and a hlaf inches is enough to cornrow. Thanks.

cornrows on "white-girl" hair?
Q. Next month, I'm going to a HOT country where I basically won't be able to wash my hair for 3 months. I have extremely thick hair. Due to the heat AND the fact I won't really be able to wash it, I'm considering getting my hair braided into cornrows and leaving it for 3 months. Does anyone know how this will affect my hair in the long-run? (Severe breakage... hair falling out... braids staying in... etc.)

What is the BEST hair style for an African American to wear if they are trying to grow their hair long?"?
Q. I want my hair to grow long and fast. But what is the best hair style to do that? Cornrows or Box Braids? I am a male...Thank You
Asked by Sonny B - Tue Oct 23 22:59:34 2007 - Hair - 4 Answers - Comments

A. For a male, cornrows are probably best. They give your hair a chance to rest specifically the ends. Your hair grows at about 1/2 inch a month. What makes it seem like it doesn't grow is the breakage. You should also wash your hair often at least once a week, you can put a stocking cap over your head to keep your braids from getting too frizzy, and be certain to keep your hair moisturized. That does not mean put grease on your scalp but it does mean use a moisturizing conditioner when you wash (DO NOT skip this step). Check out www.growafrohairlong.com for ideas on keeping your hair clean while in braids. The site is geared towards women, but you'll get the idea. You'll also see vitamins advertised. You can go to your local Rite Aid and the… [cont.]

A. First you need to straighten it, until its really straight or straight enough for you to shape. Then get some hairspray and spray it all over. You will then need to *poof* it up a bit and make it bigger using your hands and spray it again. If you want it really big, try back combing it and spraying after. Straighten - spray - poof it up - spray - and maybe back comb for bigger effect - spray And your done ! :) Hope this helps x

A. Demoncraps will use any and every excuse they can find...hell they'll even make things up...I guess since most liberals have little or no self-esteem, it makes them feel better about themselves to "think" ( a term I use loosely because they really can't think) the rest of us are racist...and in their narcissistic opinions of themselves...making them feel superior to the rest of us...

A. Why not try to grow your own hair out. Try this website: She has some great ideas that have worked for my granddaughter. I wear my hair short so no I haven't read her book. My granddaughter has the book and she says that the information is most helpful. But the book is a 2nd edition and does not contain a formula for a conditioner that Cathy devised. My grandbaby says that the conditioner is the real key and she got it from a co-worker that had the 1st edition. Her hair is looking healthier and thicker then it has in a long time. She wore her hair short and started following Cathy's book almost a year ago. Now her hair is almost on her shoulder's. Here is the formula for the conditioner if you want to try it for yourself. Be sure and rinse… [cont.]

A. No. If you are selling to the " hair and beauty trade " who are in turn using the products in their shop, or selling them to their customers, you don't "need to be a hair stylist " or " barber ". yourself. That would be like requiring a person who sells auto parts to be a auto mechanic...Not required. What you will "need " is to have good contacts in the wholesale supplier end of the business. You need to be able to buy your inventory at lower prices than the shop owners can get it for. Otherwise why should they buy from you ? Here is a tip...Offer delivery to the shops. Why ? People are lazy and if they know that your driver will deliver the order, next day, to the shop, they won't bother going to a… [cont.]

What is considered "Natural Hair" to African Americans?
Q. Why do some girls claim there hair is natural because they don't get relaxers. When most of them dye their hair different colors. Don't hair dye change your natural color and texture? If so, your hair isn't natural because the texture of your hair is being damaged by the chemicals in the dye. Wouldn't natural hair mean no relaxers, perms, texterizers, dye, bleach, etc.?
Asked by toiyatoy - Mon Jan 5 13:53:16 2009 - Hair - 4 Answers - Comments

A. Technically it would, but unless you make a habit out of dying your hair, it still maintains a natural texture; it is true that continuous dying of the hair will stretch out the curl, damaging the hair. The only thing significantly different about it is the color. My hair is dyed jet black (Unfortunately, it's growing out =() but I'll live. I've trimmed the ends off recently and a couple times from the last time I got the big chop. The texture is still the same though. It might look a little bit different only because I rediscovered a wonderful leave in conditioner I had for 3 years. Even blow drying and flat ironing (particularly for black people) can significantly change the texture of hair permanently. I definitely learned this the hard… [cont.]
